Metropolitan Police Commissioners Office (MPCO), Ranipokhari, Kathmandu, has finally publicized the acid attacker. The convict is identified as Jiban BK, 20 of Fulashi-8 of Ramechhap. According to the statement given by accused BK, Sangita and Jivan had been staying in in the rented rooms under the same roof at Jhochhen in Kathmandu since 2069 BS. An unidentified person had attacked two school girls with acid while they were studying at a tuition center at Basantapur in Kathmandu in early morning of February 22. Almost after a month of the accident the convict has been arrested from his rent at Tokha. He was arrested on Thursday at 9 pm from his rented home. The reason behind the crime was his ego and feeling of revenge. In the video we could see him smiling and there was no any shame on his face for what he did. He even acted like fainting and now he is rushed to Bir Hospital. One of the victims, Seema Basnet states, "I am very pleased to know that Nepal Police arrested the convict in acid attack. I want to see him." Talking with DCnepal.com, Seema Basnet presents her will on seeing the convict who threw acid on the three girls. In addition to that, Basnet even opined that the offender ought to be given same punishment rather than sentencing for the life imprisonment.
