{Islamic State militants have reportedly burnt 45 people alive in the western Iraqi town of al-Baghdadi.
News of the atrocities follows the recent beheading of 21 Christians in Libya and the brutal burning to death of a Jordanian pilot.
“Jihadist militants from IS have burned to death 45 people in the western Iraqi town of al-Baghdadi,” a local police was quoted as saying by BBC. However, could not immediately determine the reason behind this barbaric act.
Although, as per the report, among the people being burnt, some probably belong to the security forces. According to the report the local police chief, Col Qasim al-Obeidi, is saying members of his security forces are some of the 45 victims.
Citing an Iraqi official, Reuters reported, about 90 percent of the territory of the al-Baghdadi district is under the control of the Islamic State.Children, most likely captive prisoners, held in a cage while a burning torch is presented in the foreground.
