7th January- Anger is the most strong emotion that you have. When you’re angry, you may utter words which you will regret forever. There are various ways to control your anger. Here are few:
Breathe: Simple relaxation tools, such as deep breathing and relaxing imagery can help calm down angry feelings. Slowly repeat a calm word or phrase such as “relax,” “take it easy.” Repeat it to yourself while breathing deeply.
Stop arguing: Staying in the conversation when you have difficulty modulating your anger makes it likely you’ll say things you’ll regret. If it’s possible you will say hurtful things that you will regret and can’t take back, ask for a ‘time out’ with intention to come back to the conversation.
Cry: If you’re angry about something on your own, let out some tears. If you feel like you’re on the brink of crying when you’re on your own, let out your tears and see how much better it makes you feel.
Count: The easier thing to do. The moment you are angry, start counting to 10 befor you speak. If that doesn’t help, count to hundred.
Listen to Music: The fun thing to do. Some people listen to hard metal scream music when they’re angry, some listen to Mantras. To each his own. This will divert your mind and makes you happy.
Cool Off with Exercise: A great outlet to reduce tension is physical activity: use your anger as fuel for a healthier lifestyle.
